I asked b/c I noticed one of the pics had some. I've always loved crown and chair molding. Wainscoting is another favorite of mine, typically in the bathrooms though of course. Thanks for reply, even if it was 10yrs after the fact :)

Sorry for the tardy reply, Nick. I'm usually much snappier on the return. Great questions. I usually put crown, chair and picture frame molding in areas on the first floor. It's all about eye-pop and catching them when they walk through the front door.

In the house that I'm currently doing on Hamilton Ave, I also added some crown to the master, but that was only to finish the coffered-ceiling. (Wait until you see what we do there!!). Everyone thinks molding is so crazy expensive. Next time you're out at Home Depot - check it out. It's really not that bad.

awesome video! I can't seem to figure out how to shorten my videos yet :)

I love crown molding and it looks great in that house. Do you have a post you can direct me to that you discuss some strategies behind crown molding, like do you put it in all rooms, just the rooms you try to add visual appeal too or maybe just the master bedroom?

If not, maybe you wouldn't mind answering that here for me, I'd love to know your input on that.
